Rose M. Elefante
Rose M. Elefante is a partner of the firm concentrating in the areas of wills, trusts, probate and administration of estates, elder law, special needs planning, business succession and corporate and non-profit law. She is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, where she was an Academic Merit Scholar and member of the Editorial Board of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. In addition to her role as counsel and advisor to her clients, Ms. Elefante is trained mediator and member of the New York State Supreme Court Suffolk County Commercial Division Roster of Mediators and the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Fee Dispute Committee.
Ms. Elefante has also served as Chair of the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Solo and Small Firm Committee, was appointed to the Association’s Task Force on Law Firm Continuity, and in 2008, was honored with the Suffolk County Bar Association Award of Recognition. She is active in her community as a frequent lecturer on the subjects of elder law and estate planning, as a member of the Smithtown Industry Advisory Board, and as a Girl Scout leader. Ms. Elefante is an accomplished pianist and flautist and actively supports local music programs as a member of the advisory board for the Friends of Music of Smithtown and as counsel to the Smithtown Community Band.
